This policy covers our website (www.favshq.com) as well as all products built and maintained by Favs HQ, Inc., including FriendMap, WYF – What's Your Fav, Slate, Rezz, Baemax, Just Do Nothing, and Aurascope.

In short, your privacy matters to us, and we do not sell your data.

THE INFORMATION WE COLLECT AND WHY

We’ve created social and creative tools that help you express yourself and build stronger relationships with the people who matter most.

We only collect the personal information we need and store it for as little time as necessary to meet the purposes for which it was collected. We may collect personal information when you:

  • Create an account

  • Use the app

  • Sign up to receive marketing communications

  • Participate in surveys

  • Contact us with a comment, question, or complaint

Creating an Account

You do not have to register to visit or use our website, but you will be required to create an account to use our apps. To create your account, we require certain information such as your first and last name, phone number, email address, and a password. We may also ask for access to your mobile device’s contacts to help you connect with friends. This information is used to create and administer your account and facilitate your use of the apps.

We do not knowingly allow children under the age of 13 (or the minimum age required by law in your jurisdiction) to create accounts or use our services. If we learn that a child has provided us with personal information without verifiable parental consent, we will delete the information and restrict access.

Using the Apps

When you use our apps, we may collect the following personal information depending on which app you use:

  • FriendMap: Location-based interactions and features used within the app to improve your experience and provide friend-finding functionalities.

  • WYF – What's Your Fav: Quiz responses about your preferences and interests. This information is used to help your friends understand you better and to make your experience more engaging.

  • Slate: Slate is a custom keyboard app. We do not log or store keystrokes. Any usage data we collect (e.g., most used keys, crashes, or language settings) is anonymized and used solely to improve performance and functionality. Slate does not collect passwords, credit card numbers, or sensitive personal content. Typed input never leaves your device.

  • Rezz: Rezz allows you to save and share restaurants and memorable places. With your permission, we may access location data to help you tag places more accurately. Saved places are stored locally or in a secure cloud sync, depending on your settings. We do not share your place data with third parties.

  • Baemax: Baemax analyzes screenshots of conversations to provide emotional insights. These uploads are processed in real time by our AI partner. We do not store your screenshots or connect them to your identity. Data is used solely to deliver insights and is discarded after processing. Baemax does not use your messages to train third-party models.

  • Just Do Nothing: This is a minimal two-minute mindfulness timer. It collects no personal data, and no audio, screen, or background activity is tracked. We do not use analytics or background services.

  • Aurascope: Aurascope uses the camera to scan objects and provide a real-time energy score. When you take a photo, it is processed by our AI engine to generate insights. By default, Aurascope photos are visible on the public feed to encourage exploration and discovery, but you can switch any scan to private at the time of upload or afterward. Photos are securely stored on our servers to allow you to revisit your scans and track your energy over time. However, you remain in full control—you can delete any photo from your account at any time, and it will be permanently removed from our servers.

Across all apps, we may also collect:

  • Device type, hardware, and operating system

  • Unique device identifiers

  • Mobile carrier

  • IP address

  • Language settings

  • Date and time the app accesses our servers

Location Privacy for FriendMap

With your consent, we may collect your location information using your device’s GPS to allow your friends to know where you are. We do not use your location data to sell to third parties. You can opt out at any time by turning off location services in your device or app settings.

Signing Up for Marketing Communications

If you sign up for email marketing communications such as newsletters, we collect your email address and optional information to tailor our messages. You can unsubscribe at any time by clicking “unsubscribe” in any email or by contacting us at support@favshq.com.

If you consent to push notifications, we may send notifications about app updates, quiz prompts, or important friend-related events. You can disable push notifications in your app or device settings.

Participating in Surveys

From time to time, we may offer surveys. Survey responses are used in an aggregated, de-identified format to help us understand our users and enhance our apps and services.

Contacting Us

When you contact us with a comment, question, or complaint, we may collect information such as your name, email address, and details of your request. This helps us respond to you effectively and improve our customer service.

WHEN WE ACCESS AND SHARE YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION

  • To provide the services you’ve requested: We use third-party services to run our applications. These services may process some of your identity information, but only to the extent necessary to provide functionality such as hosting, authentication, analytics, and customer support.
