Official Rules

Sponsor:
The "Friend of the Year Award" (the "Competition") is sponsored by Favs HQ, Inc. (“Sponsor”).

Eligibility:
The Competition is open to legal residents of the United States who are at least 14 years of age at the time of entry. Employees, officers, directors, and affiliates of Favs HQ, Inc., as well as immediate family members (spouses, parents, siblings, and children) or members of the same household, are not eligible to participate. The Competition is void where prohibited by law.

How to Enter:
Participants must:

  1. Tag a friend in the comments of the official competition post on Instagram.

  2. Write a comment describing what their tagged friend did to make them an amazing friend this year.


Entries are limited to one (1) per person. Multiple entries or tagging the same friend multiple times will result in disqualification. The Competition is free to enter, and no purchase is necessary. Internet access and an Instagram account are required.

Competition Period:
The Competition begins at the time of posting and ends at 11:59 PM PST on December 23, 2024 (the "Competition Period"). Entries received outside the Competition Period will not be considered.

Prize:
Two winners will be selected:

  • The participant and their tagged friend will each receive $150 via PayPal.

The prize is non-transferable, and no substitution is allowed except at the discretion of the Sponsor.

Winner Selection:
Winners will be selected based on the heartfelt nature and quality of their comment by a panel of judges from Favs HQ, Inc. All decisions are final. Winners will be notified via direct message on Instagram within 7 business days of the Competition’s end date. Winners must confirm their acceptance and eligibility within 48 hours of notification.

Transparency Requirement:
To maintain transparency, winners must share a short video confirming their win. The video should include:

  • Their name and Instagram handle.

  • The name of their tagged friend.

  • Why they love and appreciate their friend.

Failure to submit the required video may result in disqualification and selection of an alternate winner.

Publicity:
By entering, participants grant Sponsor the right to use their name, Instagram handle, comment, and video for promotional purposes without additional compensation, unless prohibited by law.

Privacy:
Personal information collected from participants will only be used to administer the Competition and in accordance with Sponsor’s privacy policy.

  • This Competition is not sponsored, endorsed, or administered by, or associated with, Instagram.

  • Sponsor is not responsible for technical failures, lost or incomplete entries, or any errors that may occur in the administration of the Competition.


General Conditions:
Sponsor reserves the right to cancel, suspend, or modify the Competition if fraud, technical failures, or other factors beyond its control compromise the integrity of the Competition.

By participating, entrants agree to these Official Rules and the decisions of Sponsor, which are final and binding in all matters related to the Competition.
